St. Paul’s Cathedral is an iconic symbol that has been dominating the skyline of London for over 300 years. Home to countless important ceremonies, from the funerals of Winston Churchill and Margaret Thatcher to the Queen’s Jubilees, the St. Paul’s Cathedral is one of the most popular must-see attractions in London.
The best time to visit St. Paul’s Cathedral is during summer. However, it is less crowded during the winter, but the cold may be unbearable so plan accordingly.
It is located at St. Paul's Churchyard, London EC4M 8AD, United Kingdom.
St. Paul’s Cathedral is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Getting to St. Paul’s Cathedral is easy! The closest Underground station is St. Paul’s on the Central Line. But you can also take the District and Circle lines to the Mansion House or Blackfriars stations. From either, it’s less than a 5-minute walk to St. Paul’s Cathedral. If you are taking the bus, lines 4, 8, 11, 15, 17, 23, 25, 26, 56, 76, 100, 172, 242, and 521 all stop near St. Paul’s Cathedral. Finally, you can also take the train to the City Thameslink, Blackfriars, or Cannon Street stations.
If you are visiting St. Paul’s Cathedral, you shouldn’t miss other key attractions like Millennium Bridge, Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe, Paternoster Square, and Borough Market.
